About the position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) position at Central Research, Inc. (CRI) involves providing contact center support for federal student loan inquiries. This role is structured and fast-paced, requiring representatives to deliver efficient and accurate service while adhering to federal and state regulations. CSRs will assist customers in establishing personalized repayment plans and are expected to maintain high standards of customer service and data privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inquiries regarding student loans efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform account updates and provide repayment options within policies and regulations.
  • Manage inbound and outbound customer calls while meeting quality assurance and performance indicators.
  • Assist customers in completing applications according to department procedures.
  • Ensure the highest levels of privacy and security for clients and customers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months of contact center or customer service experience in a business environment.
  • 6 months of computer experience in a business environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Call Center experience.
  • 6 months of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote) experience.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $17.75 per hour.
  • Health and Welfare payment of $4.41 per hour (capped at 40 hours per week) covering employee-only medical, dental, and vision premiums.
