About the position

The ECD Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between customers and the company, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This position is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the manufacturing and distribution processes of ECMD's products.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate customer needs to the company and company capabilities to the customer.
  • Take customer SOS orders via fax or email and committed sale stock orders by phone.
  • Enter orders into the computer system with accurate quantities, pricing, and ship dates.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding order status, revisions, complaints, and price adjustments.
  • Act as a liaison between ECMD Logistics and Lowe's stores for timely unloading of trucks.
  • Process daily date changes to be sent to Lowe's via EDI as required.
  • Maintain files of orders and quotes as per management guidelines.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Good Faith Auditing program and handle audit calls.

Requirements

  • Clear communication skills with customers in a non-adversarial manner.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or public interaction is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to solve problems.
  • Computer experience is preferred.
  • Background in millwork, lumber, or related industries is preferred.
