About the position

PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service in the high-tech respiratory industry, specifically in resupply. The representative will process inbound orders and assist patients through various communication channels, ensuring proficient handling of insurance data collection and verification.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales orders for tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients.
  • Verify insurance and update patient files, including demographics, insurance, and benefit information.
  • Manage patient prescriptions and request prior authorization if necessary to fill the order.
  • Communicate with patients and providers via telephone, email, and web portals.
  • Develop working knowledge of Brightree, MedForce, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, McKesson VerbalCare, and other applications.
  • Document and input new referrals and subsequent patient admissions from start to finish, following PromptCare's policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree or some college preferred.
  • Work experience in a Respiratory Home Durable Medical Equipment company is strongly preferred.
  • Good PC skills, especially with MS Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some college education in a relevant field.
  • Experience in customer service.
