About the position
The Customer Service Representative II is an administrative and customer relations role focused on responding to customer requests, concerns, and complaints through various communication channels. This position involves researching and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention, maintaining communication with multiple departments, and promoting the company's products and services. The role requires moderate supervision and emphasizes effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer's requests, concerns, and complaints via phone or email.
- Answer customer questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Handle high volume inquiries and provide order inquiry and inventory status.
- Respond quickly to questions and track responsiveness levels.
- Seek substitutes for unavailable fixtures to resolve customer needs.
- Enter basic orders when necessary and follow up on shipped orders.
- Communicate with Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing to identify and solve customer requests and problems.
- Communicate special order processing requirements such as special shipping instructions and emergency delivery requirements.
- Support team and department goals in service areas.
- Provide research and problem-solving assistance to agents as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Two-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two plus years of business experience with significant exposure to Customer Service.
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Previous experience with SAP preferred.
