About the position

The Resource Pool Department at AIG Travel Guard is a dynamic and multi-functional team composed of cross-trained employees dedicated to providing exceptional service and assistance to various service centers. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including selling and servicing insurance products, managing claims, and offering travel assistance to clients globally. The Resource Pool Specialist is expected to be highly skilled and adaptable, ready to support different departments based on fluctuating demands due to global events or increased short-term volume. This position acts as an in-house staffing agency, ensuring that customer service roles are filled effectively to maintain high service standards. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be part of a team that is committed to delivering outstanding customer service. You will be required to solve complex problems while adhering to established protocols and procedures. The ability to think creatively and outside the box is essential, as is the capacity to manage and prioritize tasks effectively. You will interact with high-end clientele, requiring professionalism and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. International travel experience and knowledge of geography will be beneficial in this role, as will previous experience in customer support or the travel industry. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility in work hours, including rotating weekends and various shifts. The salary range is competitive, reflecting the experience and skills of the candidate. Responsibilities

  • Assist and support various service and assistance centers at Travel Guard.
  • Sell and service insurance products to clients.
  • Set up or provide status updates on claims.
  • Provide travel assistance to clients around the world.
  • Adapt to support departments based on unexpected demand or short-term volume increases.
  • Act as an in-house staffing agency for customer service roles.

Requirements

  • A record of providing outstanding customer service (1+ years preferred).
  • Ability to solve complex problems within established protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Professionalism in responding to high-end clientele.
  • International travel experience and geography knowledge is helpful.
  • Proven experience in customer support or the travel industry is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various hours throughout the day and evening.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
