About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Badger Meter plays a crucial role in the Customer Care department, serving as the first point of contact for customers. This position emphasizes strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with customers while ensuring order accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The representative will coordinate with various teams to manage customer accounts and inquiries effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate account records within Salesforce.
  • Verify all accounts have accurate discounts, account notes, billing information, and account owners.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner via phone and/or email with customers and account managers to ensure questions and orders are prepared correctly.
  • Review and process all return material authorization requests in Salesforce.
  • Work effectively with operations, engineering, and technical support teams to ensure accurate account management and information in Salesforce.
  • Enter all quote and order cases from Salesforce into Oracle.
  • Process all the credit requests received in Salesforce and the accounting team into Oracle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 0-1 years of related experience preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Basic proficiency in Salesforce preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Oracle preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others across the organization.
