About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Novitex is responsible for performing data entry functions to update automated records and ensure the accuracy of work. This role involves batching documents, keying data from source documents, and verifying entries to meet client expectations. The position requires a high level of safety awareness and adherence to security and privacy policies.

Responsibilities

  • Batches documents for processing.
  • Keys data from source documents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Performs acceptable volume of work in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner to meet client expectations.
  • Conducts verification duties as required.
  • Keys correcting entries as indicated by verification or other warnings.
  • Troubleshoots data problems as necessary.
  • Operates peripheral equipment as needed.
  • Assists in the development of production formats and keying procedures.
  • Demonstrates high levels of safety awareness and notifies supervisor of potential hazards.
  • Follows security and privacy policies to protect informational assets.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform simple grasping and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Ability to sit, talk, or hear regularly.
  • Close vision and ability to focus are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with data entry is desirable.
