About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Kane Logistics is responsible for managing customer service activities, including responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with customers and on-site management to address product inquiries, special requests, and discrepancies related to shipping, receiving, billing, and invoicing. The position emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to company practices and safety rules.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Process customer orders and handle complaints effectively.
  • Manage shipping and receiving operations in collaboration with the Distribution Center Manager and Supervisors.
  • Process billing and invoicing with tight turnaround times.
  • Resolve issues related to billing, invoicing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Communicate daily with customers and internal team members via email, phone, or in-person.
  • Act as a liaison between the warehouse and customers regarding account administration.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Observe and assist in enforcing company safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 3 years of verifiable customer service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding computer and data entry skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business or similar discipline preferred.
