The Customer Service Representative role at Cooperative Response Center Inc. involves providing exceptional service to members of electric cooperatives and utility companies. This position is crucial in ensuring that customers receive timely assistance during power outages and billing inquiries, emphasizing a human touch in a 24/7 call center environment. Representatives will not engage in sales or collections, focusing instead on delivering calm and professional support during critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Take incoming calls for electric cooperative members.
• Navigate tools and resources to address customer inquiries effectively.
• Maintain a high level of service and meet performance targets.
• Demonstrate calmness and professionalism in difficult situations, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Participate in classroom and on-the-job training to enhance product knowledge.

Requirements

• 1 or more years of customer service experience required.
• Experience in a call center setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to effectively learn and use call center software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to accurately type and navigate computer screens with reasonable speed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Flexibility and receptiveness to change.
