About the position

The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by handling incoming calls, processing orders, and resolving issues related to products and orders. This position requires effective communication and coordination with customers and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and address any concerns that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls and process telephone orders from customers.
  • Verify correct items, quantities, prices, and availability.
  • Coordinate customer orders to ensure they are shipped promptly.
  • Effectively communicate priority orders to relevant parties.
  • Contact customers with orders on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Obtain information on new customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with products or specific orders.
  • Receive and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist Area Managers with the fulfillment of orders and special requests.
  • Track and address any back order issues and perform manual reporting as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain professional communication with internal/external customers and vendors.
  • Collaboratively work with inter-departments and customers.
  • Notify the Manager of escalated issues such as mis-shipments or incorrect orders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and physical inventory activities.
  • Master the company's product catalog and technology to efficiently service customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail for order processing and reporting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Experience in customer service or related field preferred.
