About the position

The Customer Service Representative - Bilingual in Spanish role at Kemper involves assisting clients with inquiries and changes to their insurance policies. This position is crucial in providing superior customer service and ensuring that the needs of both insureds and agents are met. The role requires bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English, and it operates within a structured schedule that includes training and regular working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Review all policy information to determine if the risk meets the company's underwriting guidelines and processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for insureds, agents, and lien holders for policy-related inquiries.
  • Provide superior customer service and offer solutions and/or options within company guidelines.
  • Attend office-based training or meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 6 months previous customer service experience required, preferably in a call center or insurance-related environment.
  • Fluent Spanish/English communication skills with a pleasant telephone demeanor and multitasking abilities.
  • PC experience with 3,000 KSH or 25 WPM with an error ratio of less than 5% required.
  • Successfully complete all required new hire training as per departmental guidelines.
