About the position

The position at Optum involves providing customer service support in a high-volume setting, where the employee will assist customers by making outbound calls and answering inbound inquiries. Responsibilities

  • Make 80-100 outbound phone calls per day to identify customer assistance needs.
  • Answer 15-20 inbound calls per day, varying based on demand.
  • Research complex issues across multiple databases and collaborate with support resources to resolve customer issues.
  • Document required information in computer systems accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new systems.
  • 6+ months experience using Microsoft Excel (sort and filter data).
  • 6+ months customer service experience using phones and computers as primary tools.
  • Ability to work onsite at 5701 Eastern Ave, Commerce, CA.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the office.
  • Ability to work normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST, with potential for occasional overtime or weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior health care experience, ideally with the Senior population.
  • Bilingual fluency in English/Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Spanish.
  • Experience in sales.
