About the position

The Director of Data Management & Analytics will lead a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the integrity, organization, and effective use of data across the enterprise. This role is crucial for coordinating data-driven work, managing multiple data warehouses, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and data governance initiatives. The position requires foresight in technical matters, leadership capabilities, and deep knowledge of data management in both traditional and modern cloud-based settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage analytics team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the successful delivery of data-driven initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities for team members.
  • Manage a command center focused on 24/7 support of all data pipelines and infrastructure, identifying and addressing issues in real-time.
  • Responsible for resource allocation, workload balancing, and performance management.
  • Serve as the EDA Control Owner and Reviewer for SOX technology controls, ensuring timely and accurate reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations and drive data governance initiatives.
  • Manage data access approval for the data warehouse, maintaining a secure access control process.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and accessibility of data within systems, providing timely support for business-critical needs.
  • Engage with key business collaborators to prioritize technology delivery models and create enterprise solutions.
  • Responsible for month-end processing within both Legacy and Azure data warehouses, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting.
  • Act as the Service Owner and Disaster Recovery TRP Owner for critical data systems.
  • Lead the deprecation of legacy systems, including data migration to modern platforms.
  • Drive cost optimization efforts while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in data management, data analytics, or data engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale data systems, including on-premises and cloud-based platforms, particularly Azure and Databricks.
  • Solid experience in managing enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines, with a deep understanding of data architecture.
  • Proficiency with Azure technologies, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
  • Experience with legacy data systems and the ability to transition data to modern platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance (e.g., SOX).
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution for complex data systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools beyond Power BI.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications.
  • Knowledge of additional cloud platforms beyond Azure.
