About the position

The Customer Service Representative role at a stable manufacturing company in Wheeling, IL, focuses on developing and nurturing customer relationships while promoting the company's products and services. This position serves as the front-line ambassador for the company, ensuring high standards of customer support through effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the company's full product line and how they are sold and marketed.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to/from retailers, OEMs, distributor partners, and the general public.
  • Consistently meet daily customer contact goals, communicating both over the phone and via email.
  • Navigate Salesforce.com to look up customer information and complete or update account profiles.
  • Communicate accurate product and sample information including specifications, inventory levels, availability, and pricing.
  • Maintain a dedication to customer satisfaction by owning customer issues and seeing them through to resolution.
  • Process marketing sample orders quickly and accurately.
  • Support Marketing and Sales efforts through targeted calling campaigns for special promotions as needed.
  • Assist Regional Sales team by placing orders, qualifying customers, pulling reports, and supporting pre-sale opportunities as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B customer service or sales support role
  • Experience within an inbound and outbound call setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • High level of dependability and professionalism
  • Energetic, goal-oriented self-starter
  • Salesforce.com or JD Edwards experience a plus
