About the position

The Customer Service Representative (Floater) at Capital Bank N.A. is responsible for servicing deposit accounts, which includes processing financial transactions, opening new accounts, and resolving customer issues. This role emphasizes delivering superior customer service and requires the ability to work across various branch locations in the District of Columbia and Maryland. The representative will also identify opportunities to cross-sell products and support marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions for deposit accounts.
  • Open new accounts and process changes to existing accounts.
  • Conduct research to resolve customer issues.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through superior service delivery.
  • Follow established bank policies and procedures in all tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to customers.
  • Assist customers with establishing new deposit accounts and ancillary services in partnership with Relationship Managers and Commercial Lenders.
  • Support marketing campaigns and participate in outbound calling activities.

Requirements

  • One year of college education or equivalent work experience.
  • One year of experience in a cash handling position, preferably as a Teller in a Bank or Credit Union.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to superior customer service.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Interest in building a career in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Willingness to work at other locations when necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
