About the position

As a Customer Service Representative Fueler/Washer at Penske, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles are ready for the road. This position is not just about fueling and washing vehicles; it’s about providing an exceptional customer experience. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, greeting them with a smile and ensuring they leave satisfied. Your responsibilities will include performing vehicle readiness inspections, which involve checking tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items to ensure safety and reliability. You will also help maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and associates, contributing to the overall positive experience at our facilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build your skills through comprehensive training and hands-on coaching. You will learn to perform minor repairs, such as installing and rotating tires, and conducting preventive maintenance repairs. This position is ideal for individuals who have an interest in vehicle maintenance but may not have prior experience. Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and ensuring they have a great experience while fueling and washing vehicles.
  • Performing vehicle readiness inspections to check tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items.
  • Maintaining clean and safe facilities for customers and associates.
  • Building skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs such as installing and rotating tires and conducting preventive maintenance repairs.
  • Completing other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Basic mechanical ability and tool usage preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management.
  • Ability to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ability to maintain a current driver qualification file as required by the role.
