About the position

The Customer Service Representative/Graphic Designer/Production Assistant role at Minuteman Press involves providing exceptional customer service while assisting in graphic design and production tasks within a fast-paced commercial print shop. The position requires proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, and entails multitasking in a deadline-driven environment to meet the needs of business-to-business clients.

Responsibilities

• Preflight and prepare customer files for printing
• Typesetting files
• Quoting and estimating work
• Ordering supplies and invoicing
• Loading paper and managing printing jobs
• Organizing paper inventory
• Performing finishing duties as needed
• Replying to client emails and answering phones
• Proactively assisting commercial clients with their printing needs
• Identifying and addressing workflow bottlenecks
• Collaborating in a team-oriented environment
• Cross-training in other areas of shop operations and assisting other departments as needed

Requirements

• High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Illustrator
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent basic math and computer skills
• Superior customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

Nice-to-haves

• Experience communicating with customers and submitting files to vendors
• Knowledge of digital printers such as Konica Minolta or Xerox and/or Offset Printing
