About the position
The Customer Service Representative in the Microbiology Lab at Lander Vet Clinic plays a crucial role in supporting the Dairy Diagnostics Lab by serving as the communication liaison between the lab and its clients, including veterinarians. This full-time position involves handling microbiological testing needs for Central Valley Dairymen, ensuring excellent customer service, and assisting with sample processing and courier duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and veterinarians by emailing reports, texting results, and communicating with lab staff.
- Daily accessioning and potential plating of milk culture samples from individual cows and bulk tanks.
- Assisting with our courier route.
- Being an extreme team player and being flexible to adjust tasks on a daily or hourly basis.
Requirements
- Laboratory procedures experience
- Laboratory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analysis skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree (preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Quality control skills
- Computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Entry-level experience (under 1 year)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in microbiologic techniques
- Previous microbiology specific training in a dairy diagnostics laboratory
