About the position

The Remote Customer Service Representative will be part of the IH&S Customer Service team, supporting various locations. This role focuses on establishing strong rapport with customers and providing exceptional service through various communication channels. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and conflict resolution abilities, aligning with the organization's values.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong rapport with customers to provide the best possible service through phone, writing, and in-person communications.
  • Timely follow-up with customer requests, both with internal team members and customers.
  • Receive requests for purchase orders, order changes, pricing adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers in various marketing channels.
  • Use a computer to retrieve customer information and purchase order status.
  • Review customer orders for terms and conditions, part number, description, ship to, bill to, quantity, delivery instructions, and other notes pertaining to the order, maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail when entering and coordinating all data in various systems.
  • Ability to work through conflict and appreciate the points of view of other functions inside and outside of the IH&S organization.
  • Must be proficient in MRP system to serve customer's needs.
  • Must have basic Microsoft Office proficiency to use Word, Excel, & Outlook.
