Customer Service Representative, Industrial Store

About the position

The Industrial Store Customer Service Representative at Norco is responsible for providing exceptional service to both walk-in and phone-in customers. This role involves greeting customers, answering inquiries, demonstrating product knowledge, processing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The representative plays a crucial role in maintaining the store's operations and supporting sales efforts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
• Answer telephone calls promptly
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use
• Sell welding and safety products and services to customers
• Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer
• Research products needed for customer special applications
• Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation
• Keep sales literature current and organized
• Stock shelves when needed
• Generate sales quotes to customers
• Load products into customer vehicle
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to accurately enter data into computer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good working knowledge of all industrial products and gases
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• Valid Driver's License required; CDL License a Plus
