About the position

The Customer Service Representative role at Signature Performance involves assisting healthcare providers, veterans, and beneficiaries with claims-related inquiries. The position emphasizes first call resolution and caller satisfaction, requiring a commitment to professionalism and teamwork. The representative will handle incoming correspondence, evaluate medical claims, and maintain knowledge of VA regulations while documenting call activities and ensuring quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct every transaction with a customer-focused, courteous approach to ensure first call resolution and achieve quality scores while maintaining production standards.
  • Research and evaluate medical claims and benefits for proper adjudication.
  • Utilize client systems, soft phone systems, and customer relationship management software to assist callers.
  • Document call activity and make requests for corrective action into VA systems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable VA regulations related to 72-hour notification requirements.
  • Maintain access for all client systems as assigned.
  • Act as an effective team member and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred 1-2 years' experience in customer service.
  • General office skills and knowledge of standard office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of software such as Excel and Word.
  • Data entry and 10 key experience necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personal traits of high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare-related customer service role.
  • Familiarity with VA regulations and processes.
