About the position

As a Customer Service Representative at Avis Budget Group, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers in a dynamic outdoor environment. This position is not your typical desk job; instead, you will be actively engaged in assisting customers throughout the rental and return processes at our airport lots. Your responsibilities will include checking cars, entering information into a handheld device, processing rentals for our loyalty customers, and assisting customers at exit gates or during vehicle returns. Your ability to deliver excellent customer service will be paramount as you interact with customers in various capacities throughout the day. This role requires a willingness to work outdoors and flexibility to handle different shifts. You will be expected to move around the rental lot, enter and exit vehicles, and perform tasks that may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting. The position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy engaging with customers directly. On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of the role effectively. Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in the rental and return process on airport lots.
  • Check cars and enter information in a handheld device.
  • Process rentals for loyalty customers.
  • Assist customers at exit gates and during vehicle returns.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout all interactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Basic computer skills including typing and data entry.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts.
  • Ability to type, sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the rental lot for prolonged periods.
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 months of retail customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
