About the position

The Customer Service Representative / Sales role at AP Electric & Generators, LLC involves providing exceptional customer service and sales support for backup power solutions. The position requires engaging with customers to understand their needs, offering product recommendations, and processing orders while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate commitment to a positive and respectful workplace environment.
  • Provide Inside Sales and Customer Service support to customers.
  • Engage and probe customers to determine their true needs and provide optimal solutions.
  • Work with existing and new contractors to provide program and after-market parts for backup power solutions.
  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to incoming tasks and resolve issues.
  • Provide recommendations on electrical parts needed to repair generators and backup power solutions.
  • Enter orders accurately and provide applications and product selection assistance to customers.
  • Regularly follow up on quotes, opportunities, and leads.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales of technology products in B2B and B2C environments.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly with training provided.
  • Excellent proficiency with basic computer knowledge (Word and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Generac, Kohler, or Cummins products.
  • Ability to thrive in a small company environment.
