About the position

The Customer Service Representative role is focused on providing exceptional customer service support by accurately processing and verifying pickup and delivery information. The position requires effective communication and coordination to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes and verifies the accuracy of pickups and/or deliveries from customers utilizing Crown Freight Manager program.
• Initiates required action for response to customer service requests for changes to pickups and deliveries.
• Ensures and provides quality service to customers and agents.
• Participates and provides expertise as a member of the customer service's departmental team.
• Receives, processes and verifies all overages, shortages and damages from drivers.
• Contacts customers in a timely manner to determine how they would like to proceed with return or disposal of freight.
• Processes customer claims in a timely manner per the service agreement's terms and conditions.
• Answers multi-line telephone calls and responds promptly to emails.
• Informs customers of their service status according to delivery and pickup schedules.
• Meets paperwork requirements for domestic and international shipments.
• Assists Operations with quotes and relaying information to dock.
• Follows up with customers for return or disposal of refused freight.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Crown Freight Manager program.
• Bilingual abilities in English and another language.
