About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust serves as the first point of contact for customers, playing a vital role in the bank's success by addressing day-to-day financial needs and fostering trusted relationships. This full-time position requires a commitment to exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities that include processing transactions and recommending additional banking products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in identifying their financial needs and recommend additional products and services.
  • Recognize and seize opportunities to make referrals for loans, trusts, investments, insurance, and other services offered by the bank.
  • Gain an understanding of the banking industry and contribute toward meeting branch goals in deposits and loans.
  • Build trusting relationships with individuals in the communities served.
  • Participate in and advocate for community growth and prosperity.
  • Process transactions for customers in a prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, reach effective resolutions, and follow through with customers for all inquiries.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in customer service is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating system.
