About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Performance Foodservice is responsible for assisting customers with order entries and inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and solving complex customer problems. This role involves direct communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers, and may include training new representatives. The position is essential in supporting the company's food distribution system and maintaining strong relationships with local customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service to the buyers in each of the OPCOs.
  • Places orders with vendors.
  • Checks for correct updated pricing, any bid prices or any special promo pricing.
  • Verifies pricing, item descriptions, PO numbers, and pick-up locations after order confirmations are received from the vendors.
  • Communicates product release numbers to inbound logistics managers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years Customer service, call center and / or related area.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 - 4 years Customer service, call center and / or related area within foodservice industry.
