About the position

The Customer Service Representative role at a rapidly growing staffing agency in Bakersfield, CA, involves providing exceptional customer service and support to both applicants and existing customers. The position requires bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, as well as the ability to handle various administrative tasks related to recruitment and employee management.

Responsibilities

  • Helping applicants fill out their employment application
  • Answering phone calls
  • Recruiting temporary employees
  • Data entry
  • Frequent cold-calling and appointment setting
  • Calling existing customers to generate repeat sales
  • Assisting with dispatch by preparing work tickets and distributing safety equipment
  • Selecting employees for job assignments and directing them to job site locations
  • Driving temporary workers to and from job sites as needed (mileage compensated)
  • Assisting in processing payroll

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Basic computer skills (sending, receiving, copying, pasting, etc.)
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Goal-oriented
  • Great attendance record
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts and flexibility when customer needs arise
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
