The Customer Service Representative at Gilbert Self Storage plays a vital role in ensuring a positive customer experience in a fast-paced self-storage environment. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including sales, customer service, marketing, and administrative tasks, all aimed at maintaining high standards of service and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers at the facility with a smile and a handshake.
• Helping customers determine the best size unit for their needs before each rental.
• Completing all necessary paperwork accurately for each rental.
• Conducting scheduled facility walk-throughs and lock checks.
• Posting all payments made on the day of receipt.
• Tracking and following up on past due accounts.
• Maintaining accurate records of all customer transactions, including payments and notes.
• Making daily bank deposits and posting receipts as instructed.
• Engaging in monthly marketing activities such as calls, visits, emails, social media postings, and events.
• Maintaining merchandise for customer purchase.
• Cleaning vacant units to ensure they are in rentable condition.
• Ensuring that the grounds, office, and bathrooms are clean and presentable at all times.
• Preparing auction units according to procedure and lien laws as needed.
• Assisting customers with U-Haul rentals, cleaning, and returning equipment.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in property management (Required)
• 4 years of computer skills (Required)
• 2 years of customer service experience (Required)

Benefits

• Pay range of $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
