The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by interacting with customers, answering inquiries about products and services, processing orders, and providing technical support. This position is essential for maintaining the company's reputation for excellent customer service and supports various industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, and Energy.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and expediting customer orders and quotes via phone, fax, or email.
  • Providing assistance with technical support.
  • Supporting Quality Control with customer returns and complaints.
  • Performing routine customer service tasks.
  • Scanning customer orders and ship prints.
  • Informing customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed.
  • Checking inventory control files for available stock to fill or manufacture orders.
  • Soliciting sales of new or additional merchandise.
  • Computing price, discount, and delivery date.
  • Recording special types of shipping, packing, or labeling required by customer orders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1+ year experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment skills and solve problems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.
