About the position

The Customer Service Representative (Donor Engagement Owner) at Feed the Children serves as the first point of contact for donors, providing exceptional customer service and support. This role is crucial in promoting the organization's mission to end childhood hunger by effectively communicating with donors, answering inquiries, and soliciting donations. The representative is expected to deliver a high-quality experience, ensuring that every interaction leaves a positive impression on the donor.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls to customer service and address inquiries related to those calls.
  • Communicate the vision of Feed the Children to donors and solicit donations.
  • Provide first call resolution to donors, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain professionalism and etiquette while striving to meet fundraising goals.
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of programs, products, services, and promotions offered by the organization.
  • Achieve individual production and customer service results by answering all calls and executing calls to completion.
  • Maintain a high level of attendance and punctuality to fulfill daily tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain accountability standards to donors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience in a call center environment or equivalent experience with relevant coursework preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in setting schedules and goals to enhance performance.
  • Strong desire to contribute to the success of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fundraising or donor engagement is a plus.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
