About the position

Ron Jon Surf Shop is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to join their ecommerce department. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing orders, and assisting with various tasks to support the company's operations. The position offers a structured schedule and a dynamic work environment within a well-known industry leader.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and pleasantly with customers to receive orders by phone or e-mail.
• Attract potential customers by answering product questions and suggesting other products.
• Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customer order and shipping issues.
• Data entry of new orders, exchanges, and refunds.
• Communicate verbally and electronically with mail systems, process claims, and balance accounts.
• Preparation of daily reports for the Accounting Department.
• May be asked to perform some Receiving or Fulfillment duties if needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must operate with understanding, utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to all customers and team members alike.
• Ability to navigate through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple daily tasks to ensure completion on schedule.
• Ability to use computerized invoicing, accounting, and emailing systems to communicate with customers and complete data entry tasks.
• Must have at least 12 months of experience in online sales, accounting, billing, or similar office work.
• Familiarity with office software and phone systems is a plus.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately, 45-65 words per minute.
