About the position

Source One Financial Corporation is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist borrowers, particularly recent immigrants, with issues related to their vehicle's insurance, maintenance, or payment. The role involves direct communication with borrowers to help them navigate their financial obligations and ensure they have the necessary support to maintain their transportation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with borrowers via email, text, or WhatsApp.
  • Confirm information from borrowers and/or their references.
  • Help borrowers become current on their payment plan, negotiating revisions or deferrals to their payment plan in some instances.
  • Collect new information about both the vehicle and the vehicle's insurance from borrowers.
  • Encourage those borrowers without vehicle insurance to obtain it.
  • Process paperwork from borrowers to obtain a contract or to modify information about their contract.
  • Instruct borrowers on how and where they can make back payments on their contract.
  • Assist borrowers with repairs and insurance claims.
  • Assist borrowers with understanding Driver's license, registrations, and taxes.
  • Assist our asset recovery team to find vehicles which have contracts that are significantly behind in their payments.
  • Help recent immigrants learn American norms for buying, owning, and paying for a vehicle.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak Portuguese and/or Spanish is required.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong negotiation skills to effectively get borrowers current on their vehicle payment.
  • Excellent customer service skills to build rapport and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Clear understanding of how to use social media and communication platforms, such as basic texting, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  • Ability to consistently follow instructions about how and when to document customer interactions in our customer relationship management system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to speak French and/or Haitian Creole is a plus.
