About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Zatkoff Seals & Packings is responsible for interacting with customers and supporting Technical Sales Representatives. This role involves providing product information, processing orders, assisting with price negotiations, and resolving customer inquiries and complaints. The representative will maintain customer accounts and monitor inventory levels, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
• Collect and enter orders for new or additional products.
• Assist the Technical Sales Representative with price negotiation and contract review.
• Field customer questions and complaints, forwarding issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.
• Ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns.
• Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, or comments.
• Monitor inventory levels for specific customer products.
• Engage in project management in conjunction with the Technical Sales Representative.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Service-oriented with the ability to resolve customer grievances.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or related software.
• Technical math and mechanical skills preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints preferred.
• Experience in the rubber, seal, or gasket industry preferred.
