About the position

The Customer Service Representative role at Northbrook Park District involves providing exceptional customer service at the front desk or fitness desk. The representative will engage with members and guests, process transactions, and support administrative functions while promoting membership and ensuring a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in fitness members and guests at the front desk or fitness desk.
  • Process registration and membership transactions using registration software.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a positive manner.
  • Promote District programs and guide members to appropriate services.
  • Balance cash reports daily and monitor access to the facility.
  • Provide general administrative support to staff as needed.
  • Clean fitness equipment and ensure proper use of facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic math skills for cash reconciliation.
  • CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
