About The Position

GreenPoint Ag is a farmer-owned, American-owned company committed to farmers' success. We are looking for someone to fill a dual role for our Crop Nutrient location facility at Bells, TN. The position is regular full-time, primarily focusing on customer service as a Customer Service Representative and alternatively as a Material Handler inside the plant. The successful candidate will manage the entire life cycle of fertilizer contracts and orders, ensuring the highest level of support for GreenPoint Ag's customers and vendors. When not engaged in customer service, the role supports material handling duties within the plant, including packing, loading, unloading products for orders using multiple forms of equipment, including forklift, blender, etc.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or 2+ years of experience and/or training in operations, customer support, or a related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in an agricultural crop nutrient or retail service environment (e.g., product storage, product staging, etc.) preferred
  • Experience driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting, and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging products, etc.) preferred
  • Experience working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.) preferred
  • Valid driver's license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines
  • Build strong customer relationships through providing excellent service
  • Perform contract management (i.e. contract entry, maintenance of orders, contract closure, reconciliation, etc.)
  • Address customer requests via phone or email (internal & external customers)
  • Perform customer invoicing
  • Collaborate with teammates
  • Perform inventory management within ERP system
  • Work closely with sales, supply, logistics and other GreenPoint Ag teams
  • Ensure consistent adherence to approved credit policy
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with merchandising, inventory management and housekeeping
  • Act as back up for payroll timesheet approver to loc manager
  • Assist with timekeeper duties for timesheets
  • Assist with general admin duties to Location Manager
  • Accurate data collection and entry of information is critical to the success of this role
  • Handle and store hazardous materials (fertilizers, chemicals) in compliance with safety regulations
  • Use appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) when working with hazardous materials
  • Ensure correct labeling, secure storage, and proper segregation of hazardous materials
  • Regularly inspect and maintain safety equipment; know their locations for emergencies
  • Perform regular warehouse duties, including product storage, staging in micronutrient hopper
  • Drive a forklift to transport inbound and outbound products
  • Organize products following local procedures
  • Follow a logical sequence for loading and unloading trucks/rail cars, and hand palletize finished products
  • Pull orders according to purchase order requests
  • Double check orders to ensure accuracy; verifier may be needed based on experience
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition, report discrepancies to site leadership
  • Use Blender equipment, forklift, and other equipment in daily job duties
  • Assist in equipment maintenance and associated duties
  • Maintain a quality and professional image with customers; be responsive to their needs
  • Clean warehouse and site for a welcoming and safe working environment
  • Work with and assist other employees with various duties, as assigned by the supervisor
