About the position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is responsible for delivering a positive customer experience on the banking floor. This role involves handling financial transactions, addressing customer needs, and maintaining the security of customer information. The CSR must adapt to workplace stressors and work collaboratively with the team to achieve branch goals while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive customer experience to current and prospective bank customers.
• Handle financial transactions such as opening accounts with a professional attitude.
• Determine customer needs and explain/sell products and services.
• Participate in branch prospecting efforts.
• Assist customers with requests like stop payments, wire transfers, and loan information.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and operational areas.
• Provide backup to the teller line as needed.
• Understand directions and adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the position.
• Assist the Branch in achieving annual goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of bank and/or customer service experience
• Accurate and proficient math skills
• Professional and friendly interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to stay focused and think clearly
• Thorough knowledge of bank products and services
