About the position

The Customer Service Representative role at Storer Transportation involves providing exceptional customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees. The representative will handle inquiries, resolve complaints, assist with ticket purchases, and ensure a smooth travel experience. This position requires effective communication, adherence to company policies, and the ability to manage various customer service tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all encountered individuals.
  • Answer all phone calls and provide accurate information about services and programs.
  • Practice active listening to resolve customer service complaints and provide solutions.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork related to customer relations and complaints.
  • Report all incidents to the Safety Officer and/or Management immediately.
  • Exhibit appropriate role modeling through language, dress, hygiene, and attitudes toward coworkers.
  • Assist in office management to ensure cleanliness and safety within the office.
  • Comprehend bus routes, schedules, and policies to educate passengers.
  • Perform clerical tasks including data collection, document information, and compiling reports.
  • Ensure supplies, including PPE, are fully stocked and available for drivers before departure.
  • Perform daily reconciliation and fare revenue accounting.
  • Retrieve reports from the Genfare system and account for monies, providing summaries to the OPS Manager and General Manager.
  • Operate computerized dispatch software and office equipment including computers and applications.
  • Assist in emergencies and act as a liaison between drivers, dispatchers, and emergency services.
  • Review route performance and proactively respond to situations impacting customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year office and/or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal Laws regarding the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new equipment and systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
