The Customer Service Representative at American First Finance serves as the primary contact for merchant partners, assisting them with day-to-day operations related to financial solutions. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, troubleshooting issues, and guiding merchants through the application and funding processes. Responsibilities
- Assist merchants with questions regarding the merchant portal, troubleshooting, application assistance, and overall support during the sale finalization via telephone or chat support.
- Provide assistance to customers regarding application processes, troubleshooting, and support during the finalization of the sale via telephone or chat support.
- Facilitate the underwriting process by guiding merchants on using the portal and reviewing customer information for decisions and funding processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and compliance codes relevant to American First Finance's operations.
- Participate in training on applicable laws, customer privacy laws, and HR protocols for reporting non-compliance.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Typing skills with proper grammar are essential.
- Experience with strict adherence to company collections policies is required.
- Polite, professional, and courteous communication skills are necessary.
- Customer Service or Merchant Service experience is preferred.
- An Associate degree or higher is preferred.
- Reliable and predictable attendance is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service or merchant service roles is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are advantageous.
