About the position

The Customer Service Representative at Gastroenterology Health Partners is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional service in a medical office setting. This position involves scheduling appointments, managing patient communications, and ensuring accurate documentation, all while fostering a culture of inclusivity and support for both patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route calls according to practice standards efficiently.
  • Update demographic information in the practice management database.
  • Provide patients with appropriate forms, literature, and instructions.
  • Document patient interactions, education, or other communications.
  • Communicate with referring physicians regarding appointment requests.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel routine office visits.
  • Process and update referral, demographic, and insurance information in the practice management database.
  • Verify insurance coverage when applicable.
  • Communicate with referring offices regarding any issues with referrals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a friendly and helpful manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous scheduling experience is a bonus.
