About the position

The Customer Service Retail Manager is responsible for driving store profitability while fostering a culture of customer satisfaction and employee engagement. This role requires balancing team management, business goals, and high standards of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers and a supportive environment for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily functions and promoting company policies while complying with guidelines.
  • Monitoring sales and ensuring accountability for branch performance by the General Manager.
  • Regular visits to branch stores to maintain operational standards.
  • Maintaining a scorecard with key metrics for each branch.
  • Supporting and managing all sales groups including Retail/Counter Sales, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales.
  • Supporting CK's relationship with outside organizations such as MCA, ASA, SMACNA, and AWS.
  • Serving on product and other committees as needed.
  • Following and enforcing all safety guidelines and requirements, including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors.
  • Being on the after-hours call list for key accounts.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous welding equipment knowledge and at least 1 year of experience performing comparable duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle diverse individuals and situations in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in operating office equipment, including computer, phone, and fax machine.
  • Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to move and handle merchandise up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to sit for long periods and perform physical activities such as stooping, twisting, kneeling, and bending.
