About the position

The Customer Service/Sales associate role focuses on delivering fast and friendly service to customers by understanding their needs and providing assistance. Associates are expected to have strong product knowledge, engage with customers effectively, and maintain a clean and safe shopping environment. This position involves collaboration with department supervisors and other associates across various store departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in the department.
• Handle basic inquiries and assist in adjacent departments as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment.
• Complete specified safety training and report any hazards to the Manager On Duty.
• Work cooperatively with the Department Supervisor and other associates.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Knowledge of department and product features to assist customers effectively.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Familiarity with safety policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or sales environments.
• Knowledge of home improvement products and services.
