About the position

The Customer Service/Sales Associate at Home Depot is responsible for providing fast and friendly service to customers by actively assessing their needs and offering assistance. This role emphasizes product knowledge and the ability to recommend related items to facilitate complete project sales. Associates are tasked with maintaining a clean, safe, and shoppable environment while adhering to safety policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly service to customers by assessing their needs.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in the department.
• Handle basic inquiries in adjacent departments as needed.
• Work in cooperation with the Department Supervisor and other associates.
• Complete specified safety training and correct hazards or report them to the Manager On Duty.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Knowledge of department and product features.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety policies and standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Familiarity with home improvement products and services.
