About the position

The Customer Service/Sales associate role focuses on providing fast and friendly service to customers by assessing their needs and offering assistance. Associates will learn to greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales, while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of their assigned areas. This position requires collaboration with department supervisors and other associates to ensure a positive shopping experience across various store departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs.
• Learn about products and provide information to customers to sell entire projects.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in the department.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure they are clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies and standards, complete safety training, and correct or report hazards immediately.
• Work cooperatively with the Department Supervisor and other associates in the department and across departments.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Ability to learn about products and provide accurate information.
• Basic knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or sales environments.
• Familiarity with home improvement products and services.
