About the position

The Customer Service/Sales associate role focuses on providing fast and friendly service to customers by assessing their needs and offering assistance. Associates will learn to greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales, while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of their assigned areas. This position requires collaboration with department supervisors and other associates across various store departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs.
• Learn about products and provide information to customers to sell entire projects.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in the department.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure they are clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies and standards, complete safety training, and correct hazards or report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Work cooperatively with the Department Supervisor and other associates in the department and across departments.

Requirements

• Ability to provide excellent customer service and support.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Basic knowledge of products in assigned departments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with home improvement products and services.
