As a Property Manager at Public Storage, you will have the unique opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, engaging with customers both inside and outside of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assess customer storage needs and provide tailored suggestions, which may include selling packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring that spaces are always ready to rent. Additionally, you will be responsible for auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits as part of the daily business operations. In this role, you will also play a crucial part in maintaining customer relationships by helping them stay current with their payments and making reminder and collection calls when necessary. The position requires a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of the property. You will be expected to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping and mopping interior areas, as well as keeping the exterior grounds clean and free of debris. Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds and spending up to 50% of your time in outdoor environments, which may involve climbing stairs and opening large doors.
