About the position

As a Self Storage Manager at Public Storage, you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing multiple storage facilities independently. This position allows you to work both indoors and outdoors, providing a dynamic work environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess customer storage needs and offer tailored solutions, which may include selling packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to ensure inventory accuracy and availability, ensuring that all spaces are ready for rental. Additionally, you will be responsible for auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits as part of the daily business operations. Customer service is at the heart of this role, as you will assist customers with payment reminders and collection calls when necessary. The role also involves physical demands, such as the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds. You will spend a significant portion of your time walking around the facilities, which may include climbing stairs and opening large doors. Maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property is essential, requiring you to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks both inside and outside the facilities.
