About the position

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and we are Hiring Now! As a Self Storage Manager, you will have the opportunity to work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. Your primary responsibility will be to assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring that spaces are ready to rent. Additionally, you will be responsible for auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits as part of the daily business operations. You will also assist in keeping our customers current with payments and may need to make reminder and collection calls when required. The role requires physical activity, including the ability to transport, lift, and move items weighing up to 35 pounds. You should be prepared to walk around facilities, spending up to 50% of your time in outdoor environments, which may include climbing stairs and opening large doors. Daily maintenance tasks will also be part of your responsibilities, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and maintaining the exterior grounds to ensure curb appeal is clean and free of debris. This position offers a flexible and full-time schedule between the hours of 9:30 am and 6 pm, with weekends until 5 pm. Employees become eligible for full-time benefits by working an average of 20+ hours per week, which includes medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, paid time off, sick time, and flex spending. Performance-based bonuses are also available for our Property Managers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and ability to utilize own vehicle for travel between different work locations.
  • Experience in customer service centered sales environments, including retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies.
