As a Customer Service-Self Storage Manager at Public Storage, you will play a crucial role in managing multiple self-storage locations independently. This position allows you to work both indoors and outdoors, providing a dynamic work environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess customer storage needs and offer tailored solutions, which may include selling packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to ensure inventory accuracy and availability, ensuring that spaces are ready for rental. Additionally, you will be responsible for auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits as part of the daily business operations. Customer engagement is key in this role; you will assist customers in staying current with their payments and may need to make reminder and collection calls when necessary. The position requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that all customer interactions are positive and productive. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the facilities, which includes performing cleaning and maintenance tasks such as sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping the exterior grounds free of debris. This role offers the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses, and you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package after working an average of 20+ hours per week. The work schedule is flexible, with full-time options available between 9:30 am and 6 pm, including weekends until 5 pm. On-site company housing may also be available at many locations, depending on performance and tenure.
