About the position

As a Customer Service-Self Storage Manager at Public Storage, you will play a crucial role in managing multiple self-storage locations while providing exceptional customer service. This position allows you to work independently, balancing your time between indoor and outdoor environments. You will assess customer storage needs, make recommendations, and sell packing and moving supplies to enhance their experience. Daily responsibilities include conducting inspections of storage units to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring that spaces are ready for rental. You will also be responsible for auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and keeping customers informed about their payment status, which may involve making reminder and collection calls when necessary. In addition to customer interactions, you will be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the facilities. This includes performing cleaning and maintenance tasks such as sweeping and mopping interior areas, as well as ensuring that the exterior grounds are free of debris. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds and spend a significant amount of time walking around the facilities, including climbing stairs and opening large doors. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a direct impact on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service-centered sales environments such as retail, restaurant, or fast food.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to utilize own vehicle for travel between locations.
