About the position
The Customer Service Specialist at Mercy Health serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers in a high-volume transactional environment. This role is crucial for addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues independently, and monitoring service tickets to ensure quality and efficiency in customer service operations.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls in a call center environment on a broad range of customer inquiries within operations.
- Respond to calls with appropriate sense of urgency and escalate calls following call center protocols as warranted.
- Conduct extensive research to determine call resolution, order status, invoice status, or other information.
- Recommend process improvements based on incoming inquiries.
- Review statements and provide detailed information for discrepancies.
- Monitor tickets, including recorded phone conversations, and escalate any quality concerns to management for possible process improvement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 1 year of experience in customer service (required)
- Associates Degree (preferred)
- Bachelors Degree (preferred)
